Winners Announced for 2003
Fest
New England's oldest and largest film festival dedicated
to the spooky and macabre took off October 23rd. Noted
for its presentation of restored work, including silent
films with live accompaniment, the four day Festival
is based at the historic Columbus Theatre in Providence.
Features included a restored classic silent film, celebrity
guest appearances, a booksigning, a gallery exhibition,
and a ghost walk tracing the life of HP Lovecraft.
PROVIDENCE, RI (October 26, 2003) - Winners for
this year RI Horror Film Festival were
announced at a ceremony at the close of this year's
event, Sunday, October 26, 2003. Many of the filmmakers
were present during this year's screenings.
According the Shawn Drywa, the Festival Director, "This
was our best year ever. The crowds were strong and attendence
levels were up.
"It was a pleasure to be able to have such high
quality programming in this genre and to see the level
of support it receives."
