a vibrant, influential and loyal audience including:

arts community
alternative film-lovers from the larger community
local and international filmmakers, and programmers
media artists and other cultural trendsetters
As the Festival grows, it attracts more support from
the corporate sector while maintaining the quality of
the relationships it has always had in the arts communities. The
City of Providence, ABC6, the RI Film and Television Office, the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts, the Rhode Island Council on the Humanites, Roger Willaims University, The Harrington School of Communications and Media at the University of Rhode Island, AMTRAK, CW28, WBRU Radio, the Rhode Island Historical Society, Cox Media and many more are sponsoring our spooktacular
week of horrors.
The importance of the arts and alternative film market
and the interest of a wider audience also makes the
Festival an appealing story to both the mainstream and
alternative media. These are a few of the media outlets
that covered and supported the Festival in 2013: The
Providence Journal, The Boston Globe,
Rhode Island Monthly, Yankee Magazine, NewEnglandFilm.com, ABC6, and The Rhode Show, to name a few.
The steady growth of the Horror Festival has allowed
the development of programs like the annual Costume
Contest, haunted house tours, HP Lovecraft Walking Tour, the
classic Silent Film Series, and programming geared for the regions
college student base and visiting filmmaker seminars that take place on and off college campuses.
The Festival growth also permits an increase in the number of promotional
events and screenings that are presented throughout the
