"RIIFF Around the World!" Campaign

Filmmakers, share your world with ours as part of our PSA and Photo Gallery Project

As we find ourselves drawing closer to the Festival in August, things here at RIIFF are beginning to pick up and will this year's accepted films, it looks to be another fantastic Festival.

We would love to have your support and participation in what has become a tradition for filmmakers whose work has been accepted to the Festival: The RIIFF Around the World video and photo event. Quite simply: we are asking you to be part of our official PSA and photo gallery of accepted filmmakers that will be on display at the 21st annual Festival and the 35th Anniversary Celebration of our non-profit creator and producer - Flickers.

All you need to do is send a 30 second video in H.264 format along with a photo of you and/or your crew in high quality format (300 DPI plus). You should be in a location that can be identified with your hometown or location. You simply need to hold a sign that says "RHODE ISLAND," clearly implying that you are either on your way or hitchhiking your way here. We encourage you to use things like native dress, iconic buildings or landmarks or even road signs in your national language to tell us where you are from. Feel free to use a film canister, slate, or any other item that identifies you as a filmmaker as well. The following are examples from last year's RIIFF Around the World:

These videos and images will be used in a promotional PSA screened before each film screening, on banners, in a gallery and on our website. Remember, these videos and photos showcase YOU, one of the 2017 RIIFF filmmakers from Around the World!

When e-mailing your video/photo please include name of the cinematographer/photographer, names of people in the video/photo and title of your festival film.
