ROVING EYE DOCUMENTARY
FILM FESTIVAL
2006 Awards
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (May 10, 2006) – After careful
deliberation, the top prize winners for the 2006
Roving Eye Documentary Film Festival were announced
today. Prizes include the Audience Choice Award, Festival
Award, Best Cinematography Award, “Emerging Eye”
First Time Director’s Award, “Student Eye”
Documentary Award, and an Honorable Mention.
“It was no easy task to pick the winners this
year. Probably the easiest award to determine was the
Audience Choice Award; we let the moviegoers pick their
favorite documentary,” commented the festival’s
Producing Director, Adam Short. “The quality of
films we received was excellent and it was difficult
trying to decide which ones deserved to win. But in
the end our judges managed to select several films that
really stood out and really impressed us.”
