sidebar addressing issues of diversity, human rights
and GLBT concerns.

FLICKERS: Rhode Island International Film Festival™ (RIIFF) is calling for gay and
lesbian-themed screenplay entries for its 16th Anniversary
Festival and its annual Providence Gay &
Lesbian (GLBT) Film Festival.
RIIFF will take place August 7-12
2012 in the state's beautiful capital city, Providence.
How to enter “Barren
Branches” GLBT Screenplay Competition:
• Submissions may be either a feature length
or a short film script; and will be judged by a distinguished
panel of industry professionals, educators, peers and
film fans.
• The Barren Branches Prize winner's work will be used as a focal point during ScriptBiz™,
the annual screenplay pitch forum, with industry professionals.
• The winner will also receive prizes that include Final Draft software, RIIFF Festival Passes, and numerous opportunities for screenplay
promotion within the industry.
The deadline for 2009 screenplay submissions is July
15, 2012. Winners will be announced by mid-October
2012 (over Columbus Day Weekend). Since the contest winners are announced following the main Festival, the prizes will be activated and include tickets to RIIFF 2013.
FLICKERS:Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) is dedicated to the creation of opportunities
